Working with us
Can one contractor do the concrete, the steel and the insulation?
The short answer
Yes. You can request concrete, metalwork and industrial insulation through one CJM contact. We review the full scope, provide a written estimate and coordinate the work around your project. You can also hire just one trade.
What actually gets combined on a real job
The combinations repeat. An equipment pad poured, a steel cover built over it, and the line feeding the equipment insulated. A driveway torn out and replaced with the gate posts set into the fresh concrete instead of cored into it six weeks later. A patio with a pergola anchored to it. A pipe rack welded, set on its own footings, and the lines it carries jacketed.
The gate posts are the clearest example of why the combination matters. Done by one company, the post is embedded and the driveway is poured around it. Done by two, somebody cores a hole through finished concrete, grouts it, and both of you hope the patch holds.
None of these are exotic jobs. They are ordinary ones that happen to need two crews — which normally means two contracts, two deposits and two schedules.
How we plan the order of work
The sequence depends on the project. For a new slab and steel cover, we coordinate the foundation and steel work with the approved design and site requirements. Fabrication can sometimes progress while the site work is underway.
For industrial insulation, we confirm equipment readiness, access and any testing requirements with the site team before scheduling installation.
Use the project planner to describe the work you need. We confirm the sequence, dependencies and schedule after reviewing your project; the planner is the starting point for that conversation.
What booking through one office removes
One walk-through. We measure the concrete, the steel and the insulation on the same free visit, and the written estimate comes back after scope and site review broken out by trade — so you can see each number and take one line, two, or all of it.
One schedule. The crews are booked against each other, so the cure wait is planned rather than discovered on the morning the welder shows up to a slab that is not ready.
And one person answering at hand-over. When something cracks at a base plate, there is no argument about whether the concrete was off or the steel was. Same owner, our own crews on both trades, same phone number: (214) 603-9142.
Booking one trade is normal, and where we stop
Most of our work is a single trade, and nothing here is a package. There is no discount for stacking trades and no reason to add one you do not need — what booking them together does and does not save is broken down in multi-trade project cost. Each shop also takes work directly through its own site. If all you want is a driveway, ask for a driveway.
We are also not a general contractor. Plumbing, electrical past wiring a gate opener, HVAC, roofing, framing and drywall are not ours, and we do not manage other trades’ subs — how that works when a GC hires us is covered in working with general contractors. Insulation removal is non-asbestos only; anything suspected of containing asbestos goes to a licensed abatement contractor.
On a job that needs trades we do not do, we work alongside whoever does them and schedule against their dates. Being straight about the edge of our scope is part of why the middle of it is reliable.
